Okay so Tomb Raider II was an explicitly silly film but my word Angelina is gorgeous. I mean total drool bucket sitting on the edge of my seat *meeping* with lust type gorgeous. The bit where she handcuffs Gerard Butler's character to the bed fairly *crackled* with sexual tension.

Needless to say I was a completely useless bag of overexcited hormones after watching the film. Much to The Lodger and assorted other members of Totl's amusement!

Also I got Sky Plus installed yesterday which means I can copy TV shows really easily and fast forward, pause and rewind TV. Very spangly. I intend to have much fun playing with all the buttons.

Get your filthy minds out of the gutter...

Anyways on another forum that I frequent someone posed an interesting question.

If you could meet, say, 5 fictional characters (from literature, tv, film, myth, comics, etc.), which ones would you choose?

I started a list and soon realised that I couldn't do it in 5. So here's the list so far..it my well get a lot more added to as I think on it.

Methos from Highlander the TV Series: Well Duh!

Actually I'd like to meet all 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse but Methos obviously in particular. No and not just for the purely carnal reasons your all imagining! ::grins::

Lyra and Will from Philip Pullman's 'His Dark Materials' trilogy: Because they are both such very real characters and I would love to see what my daemon was./

Sebastian Flyte from 'Brideshead Revisted' by Evelyn Waugh: He broke my heart when I was about 18.

Silk from 'The Belgariad' series by David Eddings: A childhood crush which remains with me. I still use the "I lied, its a vice I have" line in conversation.

Lestat from 'The Vampire Chronicles' by Anne Rice: Yes I know, go ahead roll your eyes but I think he'd be great fun to meet and who better to show me and The Lodger round New Orleans?

Qui Gon Jinn and Obi Wan Kenobi from Star Wars: Well because they are Jedi and very cute and I mean like Duuuude!

Jack Sparrow from PoTC: Do I have to explain that one?

Bud White from 'LA Confidential' by James Ellroy: Ack! Another heartbreaker and a gloriously fucked up and deeply slashy character. *whimper*

Galadriel from The Lord of the Rings by Tolkien: She was possibly one of the first fictional women I fell in love with.

Rachel Summers (Phoenix II), Longshot, Nightcrawler, Gambit, Wolverine, Rogue, Storm and Lockheed from 'The X-men' comic: I've had longstanding love affairs from childhood with these characters.

Morpheus, Death, Desire and Goldie from 'The Sandman' comic: I have had a seriously intense longstanding love affair from adolescence with all of these characters. Death in particular was a big influence on the fledgling Em. ::grins::

John Constantine from 'Hellblazer' the comic: What can I say? *swoon* *spangle* *wibble*. He is The Man. I love him. and he's the character I most wish I'd written. I kept wanting old 'Con-Job' to turn up in Buffy just to take the piss out of the Watchers.

Nemesis The Warlock, all the ABC Warriors but especially Joe Pineapples, Slaine and Judge Dredd from '2000 AD': They will take some explaining if your not into comics and UK comics at that. Suffice to say Simon Bisley's artwork made me fall in love with Joe Pineapples and Slaine at and early age. Great storylines cemented that love. Nemesis just *rocks* and gave rise to the wonderous quote "Be Pure, Be Vigilant, Behave" which I stole and still use shamelessly. As for Judge Dredd, well what can I say about someone who's tagline is "I *AM* the Law" ::grins::

Kai and Zev from Lexx: Mainly because I fancy both of them shamelessly and I'd love to have a ride on the Lexx.

Misato Katsuragi, Kaji Ryoji and Asuka Langley Soryu from 'Neon Genesis Evangelion' - thanks to the Seth Master for encouraging this new obsession. Asuka in particular *rocks* with mighty fists of steel.

Cassidy from 'The Preacher' comic: Another character I wish I'd written and who has a tendency to turn up in some of my fics from time to time. An irish bastard of a vampire, who could ask for more?

Oh and then I started thinking about Iain M Bank's Culture novels so I had to add: Ulver Seich from 'Excession', Cheradanine Zakalwe from 'Use of Weapons' and Sharrow from 'Against A Dark Background'

That's all for the moment. I'd of course love to hear anyone's else's ideas.

I absolutely cannot fault your adding Lestat to your list. He is such a lovely brat, and would actually place much higher on my own list. :-)
