Things are definitely on the mend. The Ex and I have fought our way to some kind of resolution and The Lodger has found himself somewhere else to live. Life seems to be returning from the dark place with babies on spikes, for which I am immensely grateful.
Oh, and I've just come back from Glastonbury Festival which was completely marvelous even if it did rain on Saturday. 8 of us attended. The Ex, The Lodger, Ms Spooky, Ben, Caroline, my Rae of Sunshine and Darth Rich.
Thankfully, this year we took a big luxury camper van so we could shower and sleep dry. I'm getting far too old to sleep in tents and rough it! The Festival was pretty much as I remember it although it's a lot more organised and less feral in aspect. I kinda miss that, I kinda miss the Travellers as well but it was good to re-live aspects of youth again, as well as get completely smashed out of my gourd with my friends.
Amazingly enough I did see a few bands. The Divine Comedy *rocked* as The Eighties Matchbox B Line Disaster. PJ Harvey was sex on a stick, The English National Opera were a complete headfuck and the highlight was Billy Bragg's performance in the Leftfield tent which had a guest appearance by Bill Bailey!
I am in the process of catching up on fandom as I have been sorely neglecting many things due to the RL disasters. I am hoping to do a whopping great recs post shortly as I have been doing a fair bit of reading, plus I have more Kink!Fic entries to pimp! *grins*
Thank you so much for all the kind posts and replies I have received from all my adorable on-line friends. It was really lovely to know you guys were thinking of me. Thank you.
Oh and I would like to welcome some more online compadres to the addiction that is LJ. Greetings, Salutations Bonjour, Guten Tag, Croeso, Céad míle fáilte romhat to my ever spangly Pic!Bitch
