Okay, now that I am slightly less drugged I shall try and post something more coherent.
You may all remember the fun & games I have been having with my teeth following the removal of one of my front teeth early this year? Well last Thursday I had the first part of the dental implant I am having to replace that front tooth. That is not an hour I wish to repeat I can tell you, even though I was drugged up to the eyeballs on Temazepam for the entire procedure.
So now I have a post embedded in my jawbone and about 7 dissolving sutures in my gums. My mouth hurt like buggery straight after the procedure but now its just swollen and sore. At the moment I can't wear my denture as my mouth is too swollen, so I am currently at work looking like a cross between a Halloween witch and Dracula's daughter and lisping. /o\
In 4 months or so time when the bone has healed round the post I will be looking at getting the crown put on and then I can get rid of the denture and hopefully never have to think about my wretched teeth again!
The Ex spent most of the weekend fixing things and buying stuff for the house in his own unique way of showing concern and Andrew and The Lexx went above and beyond the call of duty by spending Friday watching Babylon 5 and Veronica Mars with me while I was at my most grumpy and sore and incomprehensible.
Pimped The Lexx and Andrew into Veronica Mars though. \o/ I. Rule. Still badly want to go to this convention, purely so I can kidnap Jason Dohring. Common sense is telling me that I should save my cash for Vegas...
Speaking of Vegas, I am close to finalising dates for Vegas so will be posting about that in the next few days when I have my flights sorted out.
In other news how did no one tell me that the actor who plays Captain Sheridan in B5 is Tron! TRON! I wrote my first fanfic, or at least what I now realise was fanfic, about Tron after seeing it at the cinema at 9. It was self insertion fanfic as well, wonder if I can find it or would that be too scarring? Hmmmm. Anyway. MUTHAFUCKING TRON! My love for B5 has suddenly grown exponentially. That and the fact that I want to lick Ivanova all over.
Also, the AfterElton Top 100 is out, as is AfterEllen Top 100. Much lovely eyecandy. Loved JB's comments about his inclusion in the Top 10. Still think Angelina should be No 1 by default of her awesomeness and shocked by no Gina Torres or Angela Bassett but otherwise am pretty much agreeable to all the other choices.
The Lost season finale blew my metaphorical socks off as did the House season finale. The last episode of Dr Who scared the wiggins out of me and Bleach owns my soul. In a weird twist of fate I appear to have come full circle in my internet fandom life and be back to writing about vampires again. Hey ho, these are strange and wibbly times in which we live.
