My, yes that's *my* not-anyone-elses-she's-all-mine-oh-yes-just-keep-your-grubby-mitts-to-yourself gorgeous lastrega has written what she laughingly calls a snippet and which everyone else would call a story. Its dark, its evocative and has a sense of impending doom which tugs at your heart strings. You just know its all going to end in tears and large amounts of blood. May I also be the first to applaud the return of Disturbing!Methos, whom I adore. There should be more edgy Methos fic written..

Finding that in my inbox made my morning. That and the text I got from her as well. Mobile phones are a marvelous thing, they allow you to pester people half way across the world! *grins*

In other news, it would appear LJ now has hlbnfdeathmatch which looks highly amusing. I am however, somewhat baffled by my inclusion in the list of BNF's given that I have as yet written nary a thing in the HL fandom except for some very silly parodies and one small part of a Round-Robin. Still I'm hugely flattered and I quiver with anticipation at who my first opponent will be.

Obviously if its anyone who I consider a friend there will be have to be much wailing and gnashing of teeth when it comes to the death scene.

That would be richie_ryan. I was actually trying to be fairly anonymous about it. ;-) I've haven't touched him since his initial introduction, too busy with holidays and fic deadlines to bother much with The Boy.

Three months is not 'ages' ago, dear. And if you count reading and sniping, you could say i'm still in it - and I'm betaing the odd thing (some very odd) for the fandom. All I'm doing is not writing the fic and not participating on lists - which rules out a goodly number of the people still considered BNFs by these people (the same old, same old, from what i hear).

But the whole thing smacks of shit stirring, and I can't see the point of it at all. It's like a retarded version of F-W which is pretty retarded to begin with.

Sigh. And I was so hoping 2004 was going to be the year I got out of fandom crap.
