Yes! Back to my beloved Highlander fandom!
*does the dance of much hot fic*

Absolutely *loads* of stuff to rec, no doubt I shall forget something, so bear with me, fasten all seatbelts and brace yourseves for a hot and steamy ride to kink heaven...

First of all *my* lovely [personal profile] lastrega has finally been able to post her contribution to the Blow It With Feeling Challenge its called Teratogen, its Methos/Kronos and it makes me weep emerald tears of jealousy at her ability with words...

I've been waiting to rec this since I was given a sneak preview by the lady herself. I almost exploded with *squeee* at the time because K/M is a secret vice of mine and this story is chillingly erotic. Guh! I'd offer to marry her again but she just keeps turning me down. Go Read.

I was going to rec the quite breathtaking [personal profile] carenejeans's contribution which is called Speed of The Sound of Loneliness but since she appears to have just distilled the last nine months of my life into a fanfic challenge story, complete with the correct soundtrack and the punches, I'm currently wondering if she has cameras in my house! Argh!. I feel like I've had my heart yanked out of my throat. Sweet Goddess that story hurts.....

*recovers composure*

The beauteous belly-dancing [personal profile] beeej has also entered this contest and I shall point imperiously at her contribution Trust Me and say go read. Its a warm, salty contribution and it builds well. Trust is always an issue with Methos and Duncan and she highlights this well in this short fic. Let's just hope she gets inspired to write a sequel.

Actually [personal profile] beeej has been a busy fic bee of late. I very much enjoyed her contribution to the recent Highlander Lyric Wheel which is called Time For Wishing. Post-Gathering Methos is definitely a fave archetype of mine and her version of him is elegantly handled.

The Lyric Wheel also yielded this glittering short by the cuddly [profile] crackernuts called appropriately enough With Bated Breath. This writer just seems to get better and better with each story. This short has sharp edges in all the right places and I *luvs* it.

Alot of The Lyric Wheel is gen, so its not naturally my cup of tea but there are some exceedingly well written and clever entries and I'd recommend that you go read them all all. Other notable stories I enjoyed, were the contributions by Westwind and the scary [personal profile] carenejeans. Much kudos to the adorable [personal profile] amand_r for organising this.

Okay what else:

I very much enjoyed [profile] unovis_lj's Cold Comfort which hit all the right buttons and managed to invoke Paris in winter delightfully. Her A Winter Night was also an absolute joy to read. There should be more Darius/Methos fic even if only mentioned in passing!

Sharon Cross has posted the next part of Songs Of The Flesh. *Squeee* Albino!Duncan. I wonder if I can persuade her to write a gratuitous MarySue!Fic for me, where I get to shag Jolene? *plots*

X has also posted her utterly wonderful zine A New POV: Bystander Stories to the web and it is available to download from here X is most unhappy about people linking to her site, as she has had a lot of trouble with people stealing her images. I have therefore linked only to the update page and you should be able to navigate yourself to where you need to go from there.

I cannot recommend the zine highly enough. Its has some stupendous artwork in it all by the aforementioned X and some absolutely fabulous stories in the HL section by such notable fandom names as MacGeorge,Cinel Durant and Carson Kearns I've actually run out of adjectives to successfully describe the stories, so just believe me when I say you will enjoy them and go read.

Finally, *takes a deep breath* I'm going to rec some LJ-tastic fics which have caught my eye, made me giggle and generally made the world a better place to be over the last few weeks. First there was [personal profile] amand_r's Devil At The Crossroads. Never have I read such a *true* and strong Joe voice. Read it and sniffle into your beer!

Then there was the sexywet [profile] lasultrix's Harmful Immortal Vices which I somehow have managed to miss when it was posted before! *slaps self* The only thing bad about this fic is that it makes me want to strangle the writer for being so talented and this good on her first HL fic attempt. Grrr!

Closely following that, came the naughty but nice [profile] _nightelf's Mea Culpa which is just the most deliciously dark and fractured Kronos/Methos short. I would beg for more if I had a little less pride...

*big kitten eyes*

Next I stumbled upon the kick ass [personal profile] kijikun's very silly but-I-love-it-anyway Methos vs Gingerbread Men and then to finish the jubilatory [profile] jamwired wrote the most adorable Drunken Meefus which made me giggle and go *awww* at the same time. No mean feat!

I have undoubtedly forgotten something and will kick myself later. Still that's a fair old selection to be getting on with. Read and feedback people, read and feedback.

In other news, my email is still down and I am looking for alternatives. Please don't suggest hotmail or anything similarly well known as my work has blocked all of these. I need something unfamiliar but reliable. Any ideas?

Oh and I appear to be dead in [profile] hlbnfdeathmatch Whoops! Of course if you strike me down I shall simply become more powerful then you can possibly imagine, but no one else needs to know that! *wink* I died blood soaked and clutching my sword and my revenge crazed and restless spirit calls upon [personal profile] lastrega to AVENGE ME!
