It is a direct result of TheOuterLimits list trying to credit particular songs to each of the wondrous Peter Wingfield's characters. For some reason 'Im Too Sexy' kept being mentioned. Can't think why! :::grins:::
Well last night I had a splendid evening watching Lexx with Darth Rich and eating pizza. This is turning into a regular Thursday night occurrence which is most enjoyable. Apparently Darth Rich has mucho anime dvds on order so I am looking forward to a fest of not only Neon Genesis Evangelion with the Seth Master but also a positive orgy of Cowboy Bebop goodness! Yay!
Its bloody hot over here in the UK at the moment, so we had both doors in the living room open onto the garden. It all felt very mediterranean. I must admit I cannot for the life of me understand how anyone could not like Lexx. It reaches new heights of pervy weirdness every time I watch it, you could cut yourself on Kai's cheekbones and every episode Xev gets nekkid in a shower. *spangle*
Speaking of the Seth Master, The Lodger, Caroline, The Ex and I watched Battle Royale earlier this week with him. Wow! What a great film. One of the best I've seen for a long time. All the cast are gorgeous as well. Particularly one of the really evil girls and the utterly psycho boy exchange student.
It was also my first introduction to Takeshi Kitano ("Beat" Takeshi Kitano) as an actor and well.....He *ROCKS*. The Seth Master was explaining about how he had taken up art after an accident and how his paintings appear in each of his films. We also watched another of his films 'Hana-bi' which was a complete change of pace, funny, sad and heart wrenchingly beautiful. I would highly recommend both films to all. Seth informs me that I must watch 'Sonatine' now. Seth is the Cinema Master, mighty is his film-fu!
Well hey, at least its friday! I have to take Flynn the Attack Cat to the vet this evening. I expect to lose at least half a pint of blood in the process.
