Inevitably there will always be people who do not like your work because it is not to their taste or because they do not see the characters as you do. This does not mean you writing is bad or that your story is not worth reading.
Which is why this sort of thing doesn't upset me at all. It's just people's opinions. I can't change them and I don't expect that everyone will have the same one, so there's no point in getting upset about it.
