Oh, New York is so much fun. It's going to be humid as hell, and you'll probably have some rain as leftovers from Katrina later this week, but I don't doubt that you'll have a spectacular time. On Spring Street, there's a vegetarian restaurant called "Spring Street Organic Foods" (I think)--it's catty-corner across from the Open Center, not a far walk from where you're staying. Great food, and I'm *not* a vegetarian. Reasonably priced, too.
Glad to hear your animal buddies are doing fairly well. Feet are hell for horses after a certain age; poor Misty. Does the vet appreciate Lucie's intervention? He should.
