Bank Holiday's for all those out there who are not familiar with the term are random Monday's during the year that get given as a national holiday.

No I have no idea why, but they *rock* magnificently.

Anyway. TwickCon 2. After the initial trauma of trying to find Triorella's house I had a fabulous time. I got a chance to meet so many people in the HL fandom (and beyond) who I've only ever corresponded with and it was goooooood!

Freyja is even more gorgeous and spangly in RL then I though. Very cuddly as well :::grins:: PLUS she bought me a 'What would Kronos Do?' t-shirt transfer which is just *Squeeeeee!*

Freyja also brought her video of The Owl with her. Words fail me as to how to explain just how bad this film is. Adrian Paul what were you thinking? Particular points of notable terror have to be, the rapping bad guy, the one spur and the worst catchphrase of all time 'Hoot! Hoot! Dirtbag!'. Be very thankful to whatever deity you choose to venerate that this was never made into a TV series!

Trit and Tiggy showed me much anime slash goodness including some hysterical songvids which nearly made me cry I was laughing so much. It has to be said that part of the fun was watching Ann's face while the songvids were being shown ::grins::

Oh and the conversation about enema's which the songvids precipitated...

Jane wrote a twisted and wrong piece of fanfic which was read to us all in the park near Trit's house and no doubt seriously traumatised several ducks and a swan. The concept of Joe Dawson and W G Grace having sex in a tree house is possibly more then even my mind of evil wants to contemplate. Extra points had to be awarded for good use of absinthe and REM lyrics.

I feel very bad for forgetting to bring the bottle of absinthe like I promised. Poor Jane, all that hard work and no absinthe. I will have to make it up to her *wink*

One of the highpoints of the the day for me was watching 'Chivalry' with the other Methos addicts. *spangle* Its so good to know that others agree with me on the Sub!Methos painslut issue ::grins::

Thank you Trit for organising a wonderful day and I only wish I could have stayed longer. Thank you to all who I met for being lovely and I promise I will get the Round Robin finished sometime in the next millennium!

After leaving TwickCon I drove back to Peace Cottage. The BBQ appeared to have gone swimmingly and the usual chaos was ensuing. I threw myself into catching up with great gusto! The impromptu bonfire was huge fun, crates of fermented hop product were consumed, I ingested my body weight in White Russians and then I and Ben watched 'The Owl' (which Freyja had lent me) at about 3am on Sunday morning. I fear I may have scarred Ben for life :::evil laughter:::

The less said about The Ex's attempt at losing my mobile phone and my glasses while blundering about in the Forest off his face however, the better.

I feel I should also be applauded for my conscientious and sensible decision to merely watch the online Q & A with Peter Wingfield that the PWFC held that evening. I was somewhat past the ability to communicate effectively using the keyboard by the time 10pm rolled round and anything I did want to say would probably have been deeply unwise.

The Q & A did seem however to go swimmingly and Peter, as ever, came across as his usual warm and lovely self. Kudos to the organisers of the PWFC, you done marvelous ::grins::

Peter signed off saying 'Tell all the Europeans to go to bed'. You *cannot* know what it took me not to respond to that!

Sunday was a day of recovery and Evangelion.

Monday I spent returning the Commune to some semblance of order, reading avidly and trying to get the washing done.
