Well the weekend started off as very constructive and then deteriorated sharply.

Saturday night is best forgotten.

Then on Sunday I find out that some thieving fuckwit cunts stole my parents generator from their garage. My parents live in the middle of nowhere so they tend not to lock stuff up and someone obviously cased the place and then came back at night and took the generator.

As you can imagine I had my hands full with upset parents and police on sunday. Great fun when you have the grandmother of all hangovers. Still, I think I've suggested many security improvements as possible and have talked them into getting another dog so they are feeling a little less rattled.

It bothers me that they are so potentially vulnerable in these situations as they are not overlooked by anyone and miles from anywhere. Both our dogs are now aging ladies and deaf so they are no good as an early warning anymore. They really do need another, younger dog to deter any would be prowlers and I hope I have got that point across to them.

As for the pikey bastards who did the stealing....

Yeah well you get the picture.

Sadly I had far too much to do with people of their ilk when I was involved with the travelers. The parents initially had no idea who could have taken the generator. They then mentioned in passing that there had been an illegal party in the Forest, that same weekend and that some strange man had turned up in a van at the house supposedly to ask for directions. ::::shakes head::::

Anyway at least it was only the generator and not anything too expensive or precious to them and thank all the gods they weren't hurt.

In other news I did manage to watch the end of Evangelion on Sunday. What a fucked up series that is! I am still mulling over the implications of the ending and all, but its a great anime series and one I shall definitely watch again.

I also have finally booked the flights for New Orleans today. YAY! YAY! YAY! I am so looking forward to this holiday. I'm making a concerted effort not to think too hard about it as otherwise I start vibrating with excitement ::grins::

Oh and I got some writing done on Friday night which didn't suck! :)
