Last Friday I went to see the midnight preview showing of Transformers with Seth, Andrew, Dr Nick, fides and her hubby. I have to admit I squealed like a girl when Optimus Prime first appeared. My inner 12 year old thinks this is the best film made EVAH! I understand rationally that it probably isn't but am afraid I still haven't got past the OMG!ROBOTS! response yet.

Is it wrong to want to have sex with Optimus Prime?

Otherwise, I have been mainly watching anime. Yes, yes, both logophilos and tiggymalvern can both shut up and stop looking smug now..

Wot I have watched:

Gravitation: I have watched all the episodes but not the OVA yet. Shuichi is kinda irritating but definitely grows on you and the romance between him and Eiri is kinda cute. This is way higher sugar content then I am used to but it was novel watching all the romance cliches being used in regard to a boy/boy relationship for a change. My fave characters were Hiro and K though. K in particular I thought was hilarious. Not sure I got my head round Ryuuichi at all though. Very, very odd, and the whole dressing up as animals thing. Hmmmm.

Weiss Kreuz: I've watched the first few episodes and while the animation is fairly poor it more then makes up for this by being pure crack. Four cute guys who are florists by day and assassins by night. How could I not like this? Initial impressions are that Aya is very pretty. What are the main pairings in this?

Ai No Kusabi: Watched this last night and OMG why has no one told me about this before? Masters and Pets, bondage, slavery, non-con, bizarre sci fi settings, unfeasibly pretty protagonists, violence, hover bikes, eunuchs, A.I's, vast amounts of melodrama and epic doomed endings. This anime was *made* for me and hit just about every button I have. It's also absolutely gorgeous animation. The only quibble infact was Iason's dodgy outfits which made him look like a refugee from a Duran Duran video. Although still smokin' hot. Must. Find. Fic.

Yami No Matsuei: I have watched the first episode and it looks highly cracktastic and promising. Very Vampire: The Masquerade in it's styling and really lush animation. I find it hugely amusing that Tsuzuki realy does have violet eyes. Also, YAY for more shinigami.

Seth and I are watching Full Metal Alchemist and loving it muchly. I shall have to start tracking down fic recs shortly. I have much, much love for Roy. We plan on starting on Death Note soon and I am intrigued by the concept of Pet Shop of Horrors.

Bleach however, continues to EAT MY BRAIN. Seth infected me, I have now infected elseware and am well on the way to doing the same to Lexx. Verily, Bleach will soon take over the world.. Ahem..

Last night's Holby was super great awesome. I am trying to upload it although Sendspace needs a slap. Hopefully it should be up soon. I have also recorded and converted His Adrian of Paulness' episodes of 'Dark Shadows' and will upload them shortly. Seriously though people, that show was *painful* to watch. The only way I could bear it was to watch it on fast forward until I worked out which episodes Adrian was in. If inflicting random Adrian Paul acting on myself doesn't prove how much I love you all then I really don't know what does. Love me and despair people! Love me and despair!

Thought you'd like Ai No Kusabi. ;> Yeah, there are Iason X Riki stories out there ... if ya dare go into the Pit aka Fanfiction.net, there's an archive here (http://www.fanfiction.net/anime/Ai_no_Kusabi/). There are two here (http://bastmoon.spyderrealm.com/yaoi.html) that seem kinda familiar to me. Might have read them years ago.

On Weiss Kreuz, I own some Japanese artbooks for it. The official art I mentioned in your previous anime post about Aya looking like a woman with no bewbs? This (http://www.animegalleries.net/img/65556) is it. Not quite safe for work. ;P The main pairing is YoujixAya. Sometimes he gets paired up with Ken. Sometimes Aya gets paired up with the baddies too. He's the show's whore. Yeah.

Full Metal Alchemist, hmm, main pairing's RoyxEd. Huge fandom for it. I hear it's gone through some luverly wank wars. The next big pairing is Elricest. Though I dunno how the heck you can have sex when you don't even have a metal boner to begin with, and he's just a kid in an armor suit. My favorite ship for FMA is HughesxRoy. Ya know, the guy with the glasses and the goatee?

Heheh, I might draw ByaRen in the near future. Always did have a thing for Renji's tattoos.

Mea Culpa. Ai No Kusabi is great isn't it. The ending gets me every time damn it. And so pretty *points at icon*.

I love Yami No Matsuei too. I have the DVD boxset if you want to borrow it. There needs to be more damn it.

I am assuming you have done Utana, Wolf's Rain, Fushugi Ugi (spl?) and Cowboy Bebop. You managed to miss my inflicting Boko no SuckySucky on people didn't you *eg* I shall have to rectify that at some point.

Gravi's way fluffier than most things I'd watch too, but somehow for that show it works. Especially since they douse the fluff liberally in cold water part way through XD K and Hiro are definitely the stand-out guys for me.

I adore Yami no Matsuei - watch a couple more eps and you'll toss that FMA aside to finish it! Death Note is fantastic till it jumps the shark, worth every second of the ride up to that point.

The Pet Shop of Horrors anime is deeply unsatisfying. It's very pretty animation, but it goes no further than the monster-of-the-week plots that set up the basic premise in the manga before the main arc kicks in. It's basically the first volume-and-a-half of the ten volume manga, and I can't plug the manga hard enough - slashy, slashy, slashy, with an ending that really knocks you sideways and makes you long for the fic that not enough people write.

Main pairing in WK? Aya/Yohji, Aya/Ken, Yohji/anyone :) Schuldig/Crawford, an astonishing amount of Schuldig/Yohji, and a really hot Aya/Crawford/Schuldig story I would rec thebuttocks off if the authors' site was still available :(

You need to read plnunn's WK stories (http://bishonenworks.com/fiction_new/main/index.php) - they absolutely rock A(nd Pam is always great about having very little sap to hotness content.) Start with 'Violation' and continue. I'm sure other people will have more recent recs but Pam's stuff is the shit.

Oh, and in Yami, while you get a lot of Tsuzuki/Hisoka fic, the real hot pairing is Tsuzuki/Tatsumi - there's a hot BDSM arc by Penny Paperbrain:

Watari/Tatsumi is the default secondary pairing, but Tsuzuki is lusted after by all and gets more than enough action :) Watari does not get enough loving which is a shame because he's a mad scientist and a cutie pie to boot :)
