Can anyone suggest a recent Playstation 2 game I can get The Ex for Xmas? He likes things like Medal Of Honour, Timesplitters, God of War, Star Wars Battlefront II, Mercenaries etc.

This will seem completely from left field, but you might consider one of the "Grand Theft Auto" games. Yes. I can hear you now. Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot. I wouldn't even throw it out there but my husband is into all the games you mention and, inexplicably, went out and got the GTA games and LOVED them. Sucked hours of his life away. Screamed at the TV when he kept failing missions. Was totally entranced by the ability to switch the radio stations in jacked cars.

Total head-scratcher for me. Total. Now, I will say that he also used to do LAN parties with the guys where they would do Quake and Ultimate Tournament for an entire weekend. This may be where the clue lay in his attraction to this game. Not sure. Still, he continues, after two years, to play those damn things when he doesn't even touch his other games anymore.

Don't know if that will help you or not. If it were a P3, I have been pimped Assassin's Creed by three different people in 24 hours. But P2. *shrugs* I'm a Final Fantasy gal myself. It's always my default position. However, given your list, I wouldn't thow it on the table.

My daughter's bf enjoys Return to Castle Wolfenstein. I think it's a stress reliever, actually. Just load up the BFG and unleash the carnage.

The obvious one might be God of War 2, if he hasn't already invested in that one himself! Call of Duty 3 might be another one. The SO's not sure exactly what's out for PS2 apart from the obvious, since were X-Boxers.
