I have just spent an hour in the Post Office waiting to pick up a parcel. While standing in the queue I overheard a conversation between a brother and sister, I'm guessing the boy was around 8-9 and the girl 10-11. It would appear that the boy had been allowed to play some kind of karaoke game in school..

Boy: "Yeah and then Steve did this song called 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' and it was amazing"
Girl: Did what?
Boy: 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'..
Girl: Oh, who are they?
Boy: Its a song, done by um I dunno some emo band or something. It was good..
Girl: What like My Chemical Romance?
Boy: They didn't have any of their stuff, the selection sucked.

My only comfort was the couple standing across from me in the queue who appeared to be around my age and were wearing the exact same look of horror/amusement that must have been on my face.

*facepalm*

I feel positively ancient..

Wow, I haven't heard the song since my high school days. I'm getting old too. *lol*
