This morning I did 40 lengths of the swimming pool. I hate exercise. I know I need to do it and yadayadayadayada but I still hate it. I can never understand all these people who glibly chirp at me "You'll love it once you get started"
No I won't!
Nor will I ever. I'm ready to concede that I probably will be healthier for doing said exercise but its not going to make me a better, happier person okay!
On a brighter note I did get to have lunch with D-Wayne Lurrve my surveyor friend. I do wish so many of my male friends weren't so attractive. D-Wayne bears a striking resemblance to Ewan McGregor and is very into Xtreme sports which means he has abs you could crack walnuts on. He is also one of the best friends of my Ex which makes life interesting from time to time.
I went skiing with D-Wayne in March this year and he reduced me to knuckle biting frustration after about 24 hours. I'm not known for my ability to resist temptation either.
So I didn't.
Anyway. Lunch was very stimulating. Now I'm back in the office I'm not sure what exactly to do with myself.
On another note I think I may have talked myself into attending the HLDU Workshop in LA in Feb 2004. I am insane. Next year is going to be big on Highlander events what with the Paris Con in March and the Orlando PWFC Con in May.
I'm not quite sure what I am going to about the expense or the time off work but no doubt I'll come up with something suitably creative.
Things are not going well on the writing front however. I ended up chucking most of the Methos/Wolverine story away in a fit of pique at the weekend and I only have two lines of the Round Robin done. I think I'm just going to have to bite the bullet, write down what I have in my head and then send it to be looked at by someone else before I edit it into oblivion again.
I have ideas for Carmel's fic challenge on the HLDU list. Sonia just posted her fic and its utterly gorgeous. The idea I had was very gory and violent. I should however probably focus on getting the Methos/Wolverine fic done or Chris is going to beat me to death with a cricket bat.
Sometimes, I wonder why I bother writing. Most of the time it just is a source of major irritation. Mind you the Methos muse if very pretty...
..even if he does talk to much.
Oh well better do some work.
