Hmmm well that was an interesting weekend!

Friday night was.....well....

Um,

Passing swiftly on.

However, a new word was invented, *Ba-dong*. As in "That situation is just so Ba-dong"

Its to be used when something or someone is both bad and wrong. Frighteningly apt for most of my life really!

Also you know, 'Carmina Burana' by Carl Orff (the Omen music). Well you can sing the words 'Into the realm of Satan' in every third line most effectively.

Oddly found a great website with all the words here:

www.classical.net/music/comp.lst/works/orff-cb/carmlyr.html

Love the translation There was an awful lot of singing on friday. May it not be spoken of ever again.

I think I may have terminally embarassed or frightened Mark which is not a good thing. I really must remember not to talk to straight people when I'm off my tits.

Saturday I spent most of recovering and/or asleep. Saturday evening the lovely Ben and his gorgeous partner Spooky came round for dinner which the Ex cooked. Good food, good conversation. Great night.

Ben has some of the animated Highlander cartoons on video which *need* to be watched and laughed at! Showed him my Methos episode vids which I have just got from the wonderful Pat and he drooled. He wants to see Timeless again as hasn't seen that episode for many moons. Spooky and Ex suitably appalled.

Also got second part of Angel Season 2 boxset to view so The Lodger will be happy. Sadly it seems that Ben does not have Season Shit of Buffy so may have to hire this if me and The Lodger are to complete our Buffy and Angel viewing opus.

Sunday I had to go to Newbury Races for a Charity race day. This was all organised by my work, so I took the Ex and D-Wayne was supposed to come as well but he didn't turn up. I have only just found out why and am currently so annoyed I can't actually write about it.

Flat racing is always fun and the champagne and three course meal was good too! I really shouldn't bet on anything however. Best race was actually the pure Arabian race they held first before the actual meeting started. I adore arabs and this lot were just so beautiful. They all looked like they were constructed from bone china. I wanted one so badly.

So now back at work. Utterly tedious.

Yay! Vanessa has posted details of the Paris Highlander Con. The tickets are on sale through the link below and I've already booked my weekend pass.

The website is bi-lingual altho there are a few 'quirks' so if you have problems with it gimme a shout and I'll explain. Here are the main details though:

Dates - March 13 and 14th 2004
Location: Hyatt Regency, 351 Avenue Du Bois De La Pie, Paris
Guests: 'Methos','Joe' and 'Tessa'
Tickets: Weekend Pass = 150 Euros
Day Pass for either Sat or Sun = 75 Euros

Website: http://www.frenchcitycon.com/highlander_uk/highlander_uk.htm

It looks like The Ex, Ben, C Elsewhere, Darth Rich, The Lodger and Spooky will all be going along for a long weekend in Paris, while I, Ben and possibly The Lodger and C Elsewhere will go to the actual Con. It should be a right laugh and I am looking forward to meeting lots of people as well as drooling over Peter.

The PWFC Orlando Con is also now registering as well so I have reserved my place on that. Alas poor credit card I knew you well! The link for that Con is:

http://www.pwfc.org/convention/con_home.html

I am still not entirely sure how I'm going to organise all these Cons in with work but I shall just have to come up with something! Still looks like 2004 will be chock full of Highlander goodness.

My Monday has brightened somewhat!
