NO BLOODY SECRETARY AGAIN! She came in for one day and a bit this week!

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I have 5 completions today and had 2 yesterday. I may kill something, or someone very, very soon.

On a slightly brighter note one of the secretaries (also spookily called Emma) has been helping me out loads. She's a real cutie as well, but I think I'll kill that thought before it progresses any further.

Note to self: Do not scare off potential secretaries by drooling over them.

Anyway, she wants to come and work for me, as her current fee-earner does not keep her busy enough and she doesn't find what he does very interesting. Yippeee! She's a really fast and accurate typist as well. So fingers crossed ::grin:::

Spoke with my darling Rae of of sunshine ::waves to Rae:: yesterday. Seems like an age since we have actually spoken properly rather then just exchanged random emails. I'm hoping I've bullied her into coming to New Orleans. She did send me a great pic of her on a recent hen night in Cardiff, where she appears to have imbibed a little too much alcohol :::evil grin::: Its a very cute pic. I'm considering putting it on my LJ. So hands up all in favour of seeing a pic of a cute, pissed, blonde doing the splits?

Mwahahahahaahahahahaaha!

Oh and I'm going to see Jane's Addiction live in Nottingham with Mad Vicki, The Ex and The Lodger! YAY! The new album is a thing of might and beauty so I cannot wait. Yesterday was a bit gigtastic actually. I'm also going to see The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club in London and my Rae of sunshine has talked me into going to New Model Army and possibly Therapy? as well. Squeeeeeeeeeee!

Add that on to the tickets I already have to see Motorhead ::makes sign of the horns in homage::: when I get back from New Orleans and Feeder and Muse and its gigs out the wazoo..

Which means I guess I'll be filing for bankruptcy somewhere round early next year. ::frowns:: So on that note I and The Ex have decided not to go to Rome and instead save the money for going skiing at Xmas. This has the added advantage of providing an escape from the family nightmare, plus I don't celebrate Xmas anyway!

I just realised (Duh!) that I really am stupidly excited about The HLDU Workshop and the Orlando Con. The Ex may come to the Orlando Con actually. Most odd situation, he's promised to behave himself and stay out of the way ::grins::

I just hope all the kerfuffle on the PWFC list about the Orlando Con dies down a bit soon. It all got on my tits rather!

In other news, tonight I think I shall get very drunk...

Leslie the gorgeous and stunning EPA

I have just recieved a gift through work mail. wOOt! My darling (and much missed) EPA of the Evil Em-pire [that's Evill Personal Assistant for the uninitiated] sent me a personal ego booster! It takes the form of a small metal statue in the form of a man bowing prostrate on the floor in worship.

It *rocks*

I have just placed it on top of my monitor and its already been the subject of much comment. Most of the secretaries on my floor make periodic visits to my room to see what new items of kipple I've collected anyway but the egobooster seems to already be a big hit!

Standard procedure for any new arrival on the floor seems to be to get brought into my room and, if I'm in my room, say 'Hi' to me and look sheepish) then:

1. Look at the Highlander cartoon calendar
2. Look at the Mucha calendar
3. Comment on various comedy postcards, fandom related cartoons and random pics of Peter Wingfield, Liam Neeson and Angelina Jolie,
4. Laugh at bizarre pottery created by my Da
5. Play with cuddly Cthulhu
[5a If I'm in the room ask what cuddly Cthulhu is and then look baffled]
6. Play with beanie zebra [gift from Tina]
7. Ask what the Egyptian papyrus is on the wall [its Ma'at, egyptian goddess of justice]
8. Stick pins in voodoo doll [also gift from the EPA]
9. Attempt to play frisbee with ninja metal paperweight [gift from Mad Vicki]
10. Eat chocolate and/or strange american sweets

This may give you some idea of the amount of kipple I have in my room at any one time.

So now we can add:

Purple Hair

More personal trivia to enlighten your life! My hair is dark purple! Two days ago a girl from the branch of 'Storm' near my work, accosted me and asked if I wanted my hair coloured for free that evening. I of course said yes!

Turns out she was a trainee and needed a model to practice on. I chose one of the maroony colours as I've been meaning to darken my hair since the last bout of red highlights. It turned out a lot more purple then I was expecting but I love it. I think the trainee (Kirsty) was a bit worried at first about what my reaction would be. Heh! Little does she know of my past hair abuse.

Anyways I now have dark purple hair. Everyone at work is doing that polite not mentioning it 'thing', except for some of the secretaries who thought it was hysterical.

I'm very pleased actually. Particularly as it was free *beams*
