No really...

Yesterday night was a disaster. The cinema *fucked* up my booking for ROTK and the printed tickets were for the wrong showing. Basicaly this meant they had double booked our seats and since there were 14 of us they couldn't fit us all in. So we didn't get to see the film.

The only good thing that did happen was that their computer did show that it was their fuck up and not mine. So I got a refund. Initially the response of the booking clerk was that I *must* have made a mistake...

I just about managed to not kill anyone. Only just however. At one point The Ex was actually holding on to my t-shirt at the back otherwise I would probably have launched myself through the booking window and ripped the clerk's throat out with my teeth.

I *hate* letting people down and I felt like it was all my fault , even though it wasn't. Plus I'd been looking forward to seeing ROTK for weeks...

It was one of those horrible moments when I was *so* angry that I was torn between bursting into tears or killing someone.

Am still fairly upset and angry. It would no doubt be a good thing if I stayed away from mailing lists at the moment. Still gives me an excuse to use amusing new icon I suppose.

I love my friends, they were very understanding and lovely. Particularly Nick G who I haven't seen for *ages* and Mark and Matt who had come up from Bournemouth specially.

Grrrrr!

Told you my LJ wasn't very exciting!

Yeah. Firebombing or perhaps simply lurking outside in the dark and finishing employees off with an edged weapon..

I'm gonna try and get tickets for tonight. Fancy trying again?

Tonight's out for me - it's the Christmas Tun this evening (London fan meet). Hope you have some luck with tickets...

(re: exciting, you've obviously not looked at mine)

That's just horrible, Em. Mucking up a booking for one person is lousy enough, but for a whole group - and for what must be the most in demand film this year? How the fuck can they do that? it's all on computer - once the seats are gone, they're gone, and it should all be automated.

Several people need assassinating. Go, crap Ninja!

I'm afraid multiple bombing runs around the globe might be in order. I got this from a friend this morning about her son's experience last night:

Ted tried to go see LOTR last night (a friend had pre-ordered tickets last summer) and when they got to the theater, their tickets had vanished from the system and the theater was over-sold. They came home looking like Ring Wraiths on a bad day. You know it's bad when teenagers demand to see the manager, and the manager can't figure out how to use the tickets.com system!

Sounds like a conspiracy to me...
