The ever glorious Pat has just posted this to my list. Apparently its on the Season 5 DVD as an extra!

"Cut dialogue from scene at power station:

Kronos: " I think you could use a bit of pain, brother."

[Kronos puts his hand into the wound in Methos' chest where he had just pulled the knife out. Methos gags and cries out in pain]

Kronos: "Come on. There was a time you'd bounce right up asking for more. What's happened? You got soft?"

I am Em's sense of deeply smug satisfaction....

Out of character, my *arse*, and a giant fuck you to J-Blo and everyone who filled my inbox with narrow minded wank.

Oh how I wish they'd left it in that way. *sigh*

But, so, since it was written.....can't it be sorta considered canon? *g*

But not only written, but filmed as well. Even though on film, Kronos was bent over Methos and it was his arm/hand pressing down on the wound. Gillian and Donna said in the commentary that he was squeezing Methos' heart inside the chest wound. They cut it cos 1) they were too long with the final cut and had to cut *something* and b) they were getting nasty letters from their European partners about pointless violence so they cut where they could. Shame really. And, I do think Kronos said "it's what you need. " like the script, but Donna and Gillian were talking over the dialogue and it was hard to hear exactly what that line was.

So, if it was filmed, but just (misplaced) on the edit, isn't it canon?

Pat
p.s. ANother cut scene. When Cassandra asked Methos where her people were and he pointed to the skulls, he told her that Caspian insisted on keeping the heads because he thought it would make him smarter, then Methos grinned and stated that it hadn't worked yet. Too funny. Gillian and Donna said they loved the inference that Caspian was eating their brains. But, once again were told it was pointless violence so they cut it. But it *was* filmed.

Wait, it was filmed? And is on the DVDs? I get to see it? I get to watch this? Really? No, really? I ... really?

Hmm, I don't think that's *pointless* violence; it certainly has a point for me: that Kronos is one nasty bastard, and Methos has most certainly been his bitch.

It's fucked up for me to get aroused by that scene, right?
