I have HL recs, lots of lovely, ripe HL recs. Okay maybe not lots but quite damn few seeing as I have been shamefully neglecting my role of Kink!Fic Pusher of late.
So without further ado here are the recs:
First up is the wonderful news that the ever reliable and shiny Sharon Cross has updated her WIP epic Songs Of The Flesh with Chapters Chapter 4 - Rising Stars and Chapter 5 - Under Cover. This AU of hers just gets more gripping and more unique with each chapter. I sacrifice chickens to the gods in thanks for the fact that Sharon writes in this fandom, you know?!
Anyway, enough of my strange and gory hobbies, the next rec is for Pat's A Spider In The Sugar which has just the right sort of Dom!Methos and a very flexible and leather clad Duncan. Pat's getting really good at writing BDSM these days. Its good to know that my constant whining is paying off *grins*. Then to demonstrate how she can effortlessly change style Pat has also gifted us with two delightful and delicate short mood pieces entitled Teardrops and Heartbreak. They very much capture *the* moment.
I have my darling
lastrega to thank for pointing out the next rec. Somehow I'd missed
carenejeans sumptuous Cherries In The Snow and dear Goddess am I glad I read this. I'm starting to think that Carene has secretly obtained a list of all my kinks and is luring me into literary slavery by slowly working her way through that list. She knows that soon I shall be on my knees begging her for more fic...
..and they call me evil! Anyway I have two words for you people. Lipstick and Methos. *nods*
The next rec is for Coincident by Cinel. If you've not read any of her spun sugar confections of fic before, then I suggest you settle down and read her entire webpage. You'll thank me for it. Cinel's stories dissolve on your brain with a burst of sweetness but leave a lingering sharp citrus aftertaste for days. This particular story is no exception and left me yearning for to see more of this Duncan and Methos. Dangerously addictive!
Next its the tantalising Tessa Rae who obviously had an attack of the plotbunnies and came up with the following three deliciously edible and seasonal pieces of fic. First is Spring Pleasure then April Delight and then finally Shades Of Forever. Somehow Tessa managed to infuse all her fics with this incredible joyful eroticism and these three fics are no exception. Each builds lovingly on the idea of the last and manages to be blindingly hot and yet also a great commentary on both Methos, Duncan and their lives within the Game.
Then I stumbled across two Lyric Wheel entries which I'd somehow missed when I was reccing the others. The first is called The End Is A Mystery by Teresa Coffman and its a wonderful whimsical piece of fluff. Teresa, by the way, is what I call a proper writer, she writes proper adult stories with plots and everything. Needless to say I'm horrifically jealous of her. If you've not read her awesome and witty Darling Boy go do so and then weep with jealousy at the full rounded excellence of it.
When you've done weeping, go read the awesomely *AWESOME*
amand_r's Trans-Atlantic Transcript which had me snickering for hours after I'd read it.
I should also mention that the bouncing
bigtitch's A Private Arrangement is now up on the Kink!Fic webpage. Go and admire it!
I also omitted to rec
ariestess and
methos2's short fic April Fool's! Hot, funny and deft characterisation. Methinks I shall have to mosey on over and read the rest in this series. Kudos!
Finally I was in two minds as to whether to mention this as I tend to get nauseous anytime I read anything online I've had a hand in. However, the contributions made by my fellow writers to this attack of daftness are brilliant so if you have not already, go and read Onan The Barbarian which is a sequel to Comes A Scotsman both of which I played a small part in. They can also be found here. Rather embarassingly when I read back through 'Onan' I realised you could spot my contribution a mile off because it contains almost *all* of my major kinks
Predictable, I am. Subtle, I am not.
*sighs*
Anyway, go read, enjoy, feedback the authors and *Sing*!
