In other news, I was thinking about plot kinks the other evening. You know the type, like amnesia, or the hotel/shack/ship only had one room left with a double bed, or the going undercover in a BDSM Club or the I won the bet and now you have to act out my fantasies type things.
After some consideration I decided that my all time favourite has to be the Pon Farr plot kink.
You know the one! It's where one of the pairing absolutely has to have sex or they will die/be severely injured/go mad/get a headache and the other member of the pairing is the only person available to help them out.
So, should I run a Pon Farr challenge? Any pairing any fandom?

I had this great theory about immortal reproduction and Pon Farr. Basically once every, oh I dunno, 10 years or so, all immortals over a certain age get struck with a breeding imperative.
They are all drawn to congregate somewhere on Holy Ground and have an orgy for a week. Those that get pregnant remain on Holy Ground until the child is born and then this is fostered with humans as immortal lifestyle being what it is, it would be impossible to bring the child up normally.
So 'being on Holy Ground' could be a euphemism for being knocked up you see. I had this vision of lots of immortals sitting around having tea and saying "you know so-and-so, well they are on Holy Ground" and lots of raised eyebrows.
Oddly when I posted this idea someone suggested that this was evidence I had obviously over indulged in recreational drugs at some point in my youth! *grins*
Yeah there definitely needs to be more Pon Farr Highlander stories!
