My cat Flynn has just had to have six teeth out. Vet just rang. They are waiting for him to wake up.

I feel obscurely guilty and horrible.

Well, far better than if you neglected him and didn't do it... He'll give your dirty looks today, but he'll come back 'round. Especially if you have some yummy but mushy stuff to offer, like chicken baby food...
